Selective Sync: Only Push the Products You Want

Not every product belongs on every store. Learn how to use selective sync to control exactly what gets shared between your stores.

Selective Sync: Only Push the Products You Want

One of the most requested features from multi-store merchants is the ability to sync only specific products — not the entire catalogue. MultiStore Sync gives you full control.

Enabling sync per product

On the server store, navigate to Products in the MultiStore Sync dashboard. Each product has a sync toggle. Enable it to make the product available for client stores to pull. Disable it to keep it server-only.

Bulk actions

You can enable or disable sync for multiple products at once using the bulk action menu. Filter by tag, status, or vendor first to narrow down your selection.

Client-side control

Client stores can also choose which server products to pull in. Even if the server has 500 sync-enabled products, a client store can choose to only pull in 50 of them. This is useful for regional stores that only carry a subset of the catalogue.

Sync on product creation

By default, newly created products on the server store are not automatically sync-enabled. You can change this in Settings → Sync Defaults to auto-enable sync for all new products, or for products matching specific tags.

What happens when you disable sync

Disabling sync on a product stops future updates from propagating. It does not delete the product from client stores — existing copies remain untouched. This is intentional: you don't want a sync toggle to accidentally remove live products from a storefront.
